The Garden Villa in Palaio Psychiko, designed by K-Studio, emphasizes modernity and simplicity with features inspired from the stone walls, panoramic glass frames and claustras present in the local architecture. Responding to the clients’ wish to blur the lines between the interior and the exterior, this residence isn’t simply built in a garden – it incorporates the gardens within its living areas.
A twisting walnut staircase unwinding like a ribbon from the rooftop to the ground floor forms the central feature of this private residence. It is framed by tiered gardens that are all naturally lit by an expansive skylight on the last floor. With curved glass frames, indoor and outdoor atriums, numerous skylights, and garden features at every level, this project has required the close coordination of several teams of architects, engineers and artisans at the top of their field.
